Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2, 2026

These Terms govern your use of OpenFund (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Experimental software — no financial advice. OpenFund is experimental software. Nothing in the Service is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. All trading decisions and any capital you deploy are your own responsibility. Consult a licensed financial advisor before making investment decisions.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. You are responsible for complying with all laws that apply to you, including securities and trading regulations in your jurisdiction.

2. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your password and any connected broker or API keys secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Each user’s workspace — trades, journal, and keys — is isolated from other users.
  • Notify the operator immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Trading and brokerage

  • OpenFund does not hold, custody, or transmit your funds. Trades execute through your own brokerage account using credentials you provide.
  • The free plan is limited to paper (simulated) trading. Live trading, where available, uses your own real brokerage funds and is entirely at your own risk.
  • Market data may be delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable. Orders may fail, fill partially, or fill at prices different from those shown.

4. AI-generated decisions

Where enabled, autonomous AI agents generate research and trading decisions. These may be incorrect, unprofitable, or unsuitable for your circumstances. Past performance — including paper-trading results — does not guarantee future results.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to access other users’ data, disrupt the platform, reverse-engineer security controls, or use the Service for unlawful purposes.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the creators, contributors, and operators of OpenFund are not liable for any financial losses, missed opportunities, or damages — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from your use of the Service.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. The operator may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or poses a risk to the platform or other users.

9. Changes

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
